Sprig has Sprunk

The weather today is so good. The sun is shining, the crocuses and snowdrops are starting to flower, the woodpeckers are smacking their heads off the trees...spring is here - except its january (i think something's wrong).
Its so good being back again, I can't believe how much I missed being here, having space and being my own person. The last 2 weeks have felt never ending and with being inside for virtually the whole time, the bigness and space of the countryside is almost making me giddy! I need to work out how to get some of this into a painting!

working out how to get things into paintings is a great part of this whole being an artist deal. i am often struggling with the idea of putting the information into paintings so that the viewer will think and be challenged and not just shut down. i am working on too many things as usual and there is an everpresent challenge to put all that i am into my work. Oh, just yesterday Shaunapye and i went on a fantastic date that included a project you would enjoy... go look at my myspace page to read about it, i'm hoping to do some bloggin' of me own there. just search for me, my picture is with my hairs in half... don't mind the profanity of other folks posts (Adam is a good friend that enjoys using some profane language). Talk to you soon.

Spring huh? All we have is foot upon foot of snow. Spring doesn't even seem a possibility - maybe ever!
Sigh, I miss green hills and warm breezes... someday... someday they will be mine again.
